What's New
For all you needlepoint people who have had a problem purchasing Elsa Williams or Paternayan yarns this past year, Christy and I would like to tell you what little we know about the situation.
J.C.A., who produces and markets both these yarns has had supply and dyeing trouble since last year. Once they fell behind they have not been able to catch up to the demand. We will do the best we can, but if J.C.A. is out of a color it has taken months for us to get it in. This is frustrating for everyone.
Paternayan has very few direct substitutes since it is a three stranded yarn. Elsa Williams as a tapestry yarn has several brands we can suggest as substitutions unless you are in the middle of a project using Elsa Williams. D.M.C. Anchor and Appleton all sell tapestry yarns and we have or can order colors from their lines.
I hope this helps to explain why so many of us are out of these yarns. Please call or email if you have further questions. Kathy.
